ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

The Managing Director and Directors of G.A.W. Associates Ltd. believe that there are sound business reasons for adapting a reasonable approach to the environmental effects of our activities and also recognise the known environment implications of the Company's activities.

Furthermore, modern society expects a multiplicity of services (gas, water, sewage, telecommunication, data and cable TV) that require an extensive distribution of networks, both above and below ground. These networks also need space and they are frequently under tight constraints on their alignment

In order to increase the management effectiveness for providing the necessary services, the Company has developed an integral Management System for Quality, Safety, Health, Welfare and Environment which is consistent with ISO 9002; 1994, BS 8800 and ISO 14001.

Our guiding principles in making this intention a reality are:

·        management commitment to promote environmental awareness to our employees at all levels.

·        doing all that we can, reasonably and practicably, to avoid damage to trees and to the environment.

·        managing our resources to save energy, reduce wastage, promote re-cycling and prevent pollution.

·        handling and disposing of the materials in such a manner that does not damage the environment.

·        the promotion and maintenance of a close relationship with enforcing authorities and environmental agencies, as appropriate.

·        advising any Sub-Contractors on environmental issues.

·        measuring the performance of our Management Systems. This includes auditing, compliance with relevant environmental legislation and regulations, bench marking and reviewing our environmental objectives.
